To Keep You From Running Out of Content Ideas

If your brand exists on social - an engaged community is essentially a must at this point. For a community to form, it has to have content to form around. They have to have a story to feel invested in.

Think of it as making a connection with a new friend. Introduce yourself and reintroduce yourself when new friends arrive. Include personal anecdotes in your captions or even get on stories and tell it yourself. Add an “about me” highlight with photos of you and the basics about your life and your brand. Post photos of where you’re working/living so your community can picture your environment, just like you would send a friend to show them your new decor or setup.

Ask for their opinion and advice. Include polls, question boxes, and quizzes on your story about all sort of topics, both work and professional.

It’s tough coming up with unique content ideas that are true to your brand in a world where everything somehow feels overdone. Our advice - treat your followers as your friends and make sure anything you post aligns with the 5 point strategy.

  1. Personal

By sharing personal things, you’ll create a personal connection and allow those who follow along on your journey to get to know you and your brand.

  2. Educational

Sharing educational tips and advice not only makes it easy for you to help serve those around you, but it will also place you as an expert in your industry.

  3. Passion

The things we are passionate about are not random. And sharing things that make us light up when we talk about them is one of the most beautiful aspects of social media. Passion is contagious. Tell the world what you are passionate about and why it’s what you love to do.

  4. Promotional

Promoting your services and products is so important. I guarantee someone out there is looking for exactly what you offer they just don’t know you provide that product or service. If you don’t tell them, no-one will! It’s essential to remember that social media is about the ‘social’ and connection aspect of your marketing, but adding a few posts a month to promote what you do is a great way to scale your business.

  5. Engaging
It’s easy to fall into the trap of constantly talking about what you do, what you’re passionate about, and who you and your brand are all the time. In order for your community to want to take the time to get to know you, you must do the same. Posting engaging and inquisitive content as a way to learn more about your audience is a beautiful way to not only turn your platform into a conversation but learn new ways to serve your consumers that you would have never known otherwise.
