In today’s digital world - everything seems to change on a dime and to be honest, it does. It is now practically impossible to be reactive instead of proactive, especially in terms of social media content. Providing value to your customers is a timeless concept and one of the pillars of being a business owner, it is one thing that will never change, but the way you should be providing your value may need a facelift.
Nowadays content is queen and as random as the content game may seem sometimes, it is strategic and analytical at its core. In order for your content to provide value it must be a mix of three things: empowerment, education, and entertainment.
Empowerment - Share whatever inspires you - inspirational quotes, words of encouragement, etc. - because chances are it will inspire your audience too.
Education - Helping your audience by sharing your expertise.
Entertainment- Do not be afraid to show your true personality and humor through your own or your brand’s content. Take these three categories and mold them in a way so that you can post what is authentic to you, not what you think you should be posting.

Build A Content Community
Content is value. Value is trust. And trust takes time. Building a community around your brand’s content and platform takes effort and time. A favorite Caro saying - haste makes waste. Think of and treat every follower as a friend. Listen to them, talk to them, teach them, be there for them, be vulnerable with them and you will be shocked at the lifetime relationship that follows.
Going Live /Video Content
If content is queen then video content is princess because popular social platforms such as Instagram and YouTube are pushing video content hard in an attempt to compete with TikTok and its growing popularity. It is crucial that IGTV’s, YouTube shorts, Reels, and TikTok itself is apart of your content strategy. I promise you, the algorithms will reward you.
Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle
IGTV, YouTube shorts, Reels, TikTok, Twitter fleets - sometimes it feels like we’re drowning in social media and it’s never ending stream of new features. How could one possibly have the time to create valuable content on all of these platforms?
The answer is simple - reuse, repurpose, recycle. Split a blog post into a couple Instagram captions. Create a short video on Reels for Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, repost your Instagram photos on Pinterest, or post your IGTV series on YouTube and then imbed that video into a blog post or newsletter.
Social media may feel endless but that only means the workflows for recycling content are too.
Get creative with it - if you’re providing value on one platform, you can proved value on all of them.
